Diet Or Life Style Changes?

The majority of us have something in our lives that we want to change for the better. Over the years, numerous promises have been made to us that have not worked. We are the only ones that can choose to make the changes in our lives and we all must live with the consequences of our choices, good or bad. When I was a young boy and man, I could eat what I wanted, when I wanted, without any negative effect or weight gain. At about the age of 27, I noticed a change – weight gain. I had to alter my prior bad habits, eating fast food, and junk food, just to break even with my weight gain. As I got older, not only did I notice the continued weight gain, but my activity level was also declining. I again attempted to adjust my activity level and reduce my food consumption, and again noted I was losing the battle of the bulge. After getting good results for awhile and then crashing and burning, I was back to my old habits. I found that I could stay on a diet for 6 to 8 weeks and would lose weight, but while I was on the diet I found I was plotting the end of the diet, and that I would think about food or eating a lot more than when I was not on a diet.
